Blessed Hope Baptist Church

Fairfield East · Sydney
"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."
Titus 2:13–14
Who We Are

Our Church

Reaching Sydney with the unchanging Gospel of Jesus Christ — preached plainly, from the King James Bible, without compromise.

We are a local New Testament Church reaching Sydney with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are an independent, fundamental, KJV-only Baptist church, with a passion for uncompromised Bible teaching, evangelism, soul‑winning and missions.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Matthew 28:19–20

We believe salvation is a free gift of God, by His grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone—completely apart from human works. Because Jesus died on the cross for all our sins, anyone who truly trusts in Him is secure forever and can never lose their salvation.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Ephesians 2:8–9

“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”

Romans 4:5

Our desire is to equip believers to walk in newness of life by not compromising on Bible truths found in God’s Word. We encourage your attendance and look forward to meeting you at one of our church services.

Our Pastor

Pastor Kevin Sepulveda
Founding Pastor, Blessed Hope Baptist Church

Born in Sydney, NSW, Pastor Kevin Sepulveda was privileged to grow up in a Christian home. At the age of four, his mother presented him the gospel, and he believed on Jesus Christ as his Saviour.

Since then, the Lord has led him through years of local church ministry and church planting across New South Wales and Queensland, culminating in the establishment of Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Fairfield East.

2002

Baptised at Bethany Baptist Church.

2004

Wedded his wife, Cristina. The Lord has since blessed their marriage with twelve precious children.

Victory Baptist Church

Served in numerous ministries, including as a Church Deacon and the Sunday School Superintendent — during which time he became burdened for a gospel‑preaching church on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.

The Church in Punchbowl

Gained experience assisting in the early growth of a new church plant.

Sunday, 24 September 2017

Ordained to the office of a Bishop, and sent one week later to establish New Life Baptist Church.

1 July 2018

Established Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Sydney, in response to families seeking a like‑minded church in the area. Pastor Sepulveda continues to make frequent visits to the Sydney congregation.

The Great Commission

Soul Winning

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.”

Romans 1:16

“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

Romans 10:14–15

While many churches today are primarily focused with internal activities, the first work which Jesus commissioned and commanded — the Great Commission — grows largely neglected. In an effort to combat this tide, Blessed Hope Baptist Church has set the goal of knocking on the door of every house in Western Sydney with the hope of giving a clear presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

To accomplish this, many of our members actively preach the gospel door‑to‑door in our local communities. This is entirely voluntary, and training is provided for inexperienced volunteers who are not required to speak and may remain as silent partners until they feel personally ready to do so.
